PETALING JAYA – Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad (formerly known as Hwang Investment Management Berhad) (“Affin Hwang AM” or the “Company) successfully hosted its second public investment forum this year, titled ‘2015 Investment Opportunities’. The forum, held last Saturday at One World Hotel, Bandar Utama, was well received with more than 350 participants.
At the forum, the participants had the opportunity to gain insights into the current market scenario as well as the market outlook for 2015. There was also a panel discussion with the company’s award-winning investment experts, including David Ng (Chief Investment Officer), Esther Teo (Head of Fixed Income) and Akmal Hassan, the Managing Director of Affin Hwang AM’s wholly-owned Islamic investment arm, Asian Islamic Investment Management Sdn Bhd (Aiiman).
During the 1.5 hours panel session, the experts discussed on the global, regional and domestic growth, current market scenario, quantitative easing, divergent monetary policies, equities and fixed income sectors, opportunities for the remaining 2014 as well as the market outlook for year 2015.
It is hoped that this investment forum will help the investors to stay abreast of the latest and significant developments in the financial markets and more importantly, to equip them with the knowledge and strategy to make sound sounds investment decision and better manage their investments in this challenging environment.
