    • What is Allocate Plus?
      • Allocate Plus is a mobile application by Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad
      • Allocate Plus serves as a digital solution for Users looking for a seamless method of transacting Unit Trust Funds, and Private Retirement Scheme Funds through their mobile device

    • How can I access Allocate Plus?
      • Allocate Plus will be available for download on both, Apple’s App Store, and Google Play Store
      • You will be able to download the mobile application in 3 simple steps:

      Download the mobile application, and you are all set to start your investment journey with us
    • What features does the Allocate Plus have?

      Open an investment account
      • Allocate Plus allows you to open a new investment account seamlessly at your own convenience, using your mobile device

      Make investment transaction
      • Top Up: Build your investment portfolio with us by investing into our offered solutions
      • Sell: Gives you the flexibility of redeeming your investments

      Switching
      • You will also have the option to switch your investments from one fund into another within Allocate Plus through the Sell Option
    • What is the difference between using the App, and transacting through a Sales Representative?
      • A Sales Representative can provide you with financial advice, as well as guide you through your investment journey
      • However, when transacting through the mobile application, transactions will be initiated by the User themselves thus providing you with the ability to make the full investment decision with your investment portfolio
      • Allocate Plus also caters to investors who are starting out with their investment journey, thus provides the flexibility to start investing with as little as RM50
      • Do also note that transacting via the two methods may vary

  • Account Opening
    • Do I have to setup a new account on Allocate Plus if I am already an Affin Hwang investor?
      • You will not need to set up a new account if you already have an i-Access by Affin Hwang AM account
      • You will be able to use your existing i-Access login details to access Allocate Plus
      • Similarly, if you are a new user who has set up your account on Allocate Plus, you can also use the same login details to access the i-Access portal

    • I have forgotten my password / I would like to make changes to my personal information?
      • Allocate Plus currently does not allow you to reset your password, or make changes to your personal details via the app
      • You will, however, be able to reset your password, and make changes to your personal information through our i-Access portal: https://i-access.affinhwangam.com

    • I cannot complete my verification process. A message pop up has appeared to say that my IC in already in use. What does this mean?
      • This means that you may already have existing investments with us, either directly through Affin Hwang AM, or via one of our distributors
      • You could verify this by checking with our Contact Centre
      • With a quick verification process, they would be able to let you know your account status with us, and assist you with your login

    • I am not able to verify my IC even after a few tries. Why is this so?
      • The Allocate Plus mobile app uses a software that is more sensitive to light
      • As such, verification may fail when the image capture returns high amount of glare
      • Users are advised to place the IC on a clear white background, and minimize the amount of glare when capturing the IC image by reducing direct light onto the IC
      • Do contact our Contact Centre personnel if this problem persists

    • I am unable to verify my identity as the image capture of my IC does not match my selfie. Why is this?
      • For security purposes, a clear capture of your own image is required for verification
      • A cross reference will then be made against the image from your IC
      • We advise our Users to make their best attempt to have the same pose as their IC
      • Kindly contact our Contact Centre if problem persists

    • How do I open a new investment account?

      Download "Allocate Plus" on your mobile device to start your investment account opening process

      You will need to have your Malaysian National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) on hand with you

      03

      Ensure the camera feature on your mobile device is turned on, so you can perform a selfie for us to verify your identity
      04

      Once the account has been set up, 1 transaction has to be made within 6 months to complete the account opening process

      Do note that you will not be able to open a new investment account if you already have an account opened with Affin Hwang Asset Management. This means that if your details are already on our database, the account opening will not be processed.

    • How can I setup my bank account?
      • The bank account setup is for you to receive proceeds from the sale of your Units 
      • You will need to note that the bank account that you setup will need to be your own individual account
      • You may proceed with the setup by accessing the menu tap on the top right corner of the app, and tapping on the “Bank Account” option
      • Alternatively, the setup can be carried out prior to you making selling your Units as you will be prompted to setup your bank account if you do not have one currently set up

    • I already have an investment with Affin Hwang AM. Why am I being requested to perform an account verification update?
      • For the security of your account, periodic updates will be carried out for all account holders at Affin Hwang AM
      • This is to ensure that details for your account is kept up to date

    • What is the current Sales Charge charged by Allocate Plus?
      • Sales Charges vary across the Funds that are offered on Allocate Plus
      • This stems from the underlying assets of the said fund
      • Charges are as below:

    • Is the Sales Charge negotiable?
      • Sales Charges imposed on the funds are not negotiable

    • Is the Management Fees different when I transact through Allocate Plus?
      • Management Fees charged by the respective funds will be the same, irrespective of the different avenue you choose to invest from.
      • The Management Fees will vary depending on the asset class of the Funds.
      • You are advised to make reference to the respective funds’ prospectus / disclosure document for the details of the respective funds’ Management Fee

Managing Director
Teng Chee Wai is the founder of Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad (Affin Hwang AM). Over the past decade, he has built the Company to be the fastest growing and only independent investment management house in Malaysia’s top three, with an excess of RM47 billion in assets under management as at 31 December 2018.​

​In his capacity as Managing Director / Executive Director, Teng manages the overall business and strategic direction as well as the management of the investment team. His hands-on approach sees him actively involved in investments, product development and marketing. Teng’s critical leadership and regular participation in reviewing and assessing strategies and performance has been pivotal in allowing the Company to successfully navigate the economically turbulent decade.

Teng’s investment management experience spans more than 20 years, and his key area of expertise is in managing absolute return mandates for insurance assets and investment-linked funds in both Singapore and Malaysia. Prior to his current appointments, he was the Assistant General Manager (Investment) of Overseas Assurance Corporation (OAC) and was responsible for the investment function of the Group Overseas Assurance Corporation Ltd.​

​Teng began his career in the financial industry as an Investment Manager with NTUC Income, Singapore. He is a Bachelor of Science graduate from the National University of Singapore and has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Studies from City University in London.
