      Responsibilities

      • To administer and support AHAM’s cloud-related IT services.
      • To manage AHAM’s cloud-related IT projects.
      • To collaborate with stakeholders (IT infra, DevOps, InnoLabs, InfoSec, end users and etc.) and bridge the operational, knowledge and compliance gaps on AHAM’s cloud-related IT services.

    • Executive, Sales Support

      Responsibilities
      • Assume administrative and operational tasks by working closely with the Sales Team and Operations Team in relate to the day-to-day activities includes the preparations of proposal/letters/agreements, client report, client account balance, client enquiries & client servicing
      • Verify client’s documentation and guiding them through the on-boarding process
      • To perform the transaction confirmation process on daily basis

    • Graph Database Developer
      (To be based in Kuala Lumpur)
      Responsibilities

      • Architect solutions using graph database technologies
      • Lead the research and experimentation of alternative graph or relational database technologies (including advising on technical decisions)
      • Install, configure and upgrade graph database software
      • Troubleshoot issues and performance bottlenecks
      • Build, test and deploy stored procedures and data ingestion pipelines
      • Configure and maintain a REST service to integrate the graph database with other platforms (eg Tableau and custom portals)
      • Conduct product demonstrations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
      • Mentor other team members in understanding graph database software

      Responsibilities
      • To solicit, acquired and provide quality services to Institutional, Corporate & High Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) clients to achieve overall Company’s objective of AUM and Revenue.
      • To provide quality and on-going services to clients. 
      • To maintain high quality of work ethics and culture of a high performing sales team.
      • To develop and generate new business leads with aim to increase market share.
      • Successfully negotiate deals and manage allocated expense budget independently.
      • Preparing reports required by management.
      • Managing day-to-day operation of the regional business remotely.
      • Implementing the sales process effectively and independently.
      • Initiate and identify suitable events for the regional; exclusive talks for clients, exhibition, soft launch and etc.

      Requirements

    • Senior System Analyst
      (To be based in Kuala Lumpur)
      Responsibilities
      • Responsible to define & design API specification required by applications in Affin Hwang Asset Management
      • To work with system users & software developers to understand & identify business requirements
      • To conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users
      • Design API specifications based on business requirements
      • Work closely with API & UI team to provide the APIs needed for front-end applications and mobile applications
      • Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing
      • Run manual & automated tests on the API & UI components
      • Work in a dynamic, changing environment using continuous integration and a dev- ops model to rapidly develop, test, and deploy code into production
      • Participate in design meetings to create logical, innovative solutions to complex problems

      Responsibilities

      • Assist in putting business transactions like investment, redemption, switching, transfer and other information into databases;
      • Ensure data entry accuracy and make necessary correcting entries;
      • File, archive and retrieve documents (paper-based and electronic) following the company’s filing standards;

      Requirements

Managing Director
Teng Chee Wai is the founder of Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad (Affin Hwang AM). Over the past decade, he has built the Company to be the fastest growing and only independent investment management house in Malaysia’s top three, with an excess of RM47 billion in assets under management as at 31 December 2018.​

​In his capacity as Managing Director / Executive Director, Teng manages the overall business and strategic direction as well as the management of the investment team. His hands-on approach sees him actively involved in investments, product development and marketing. Teng’s critical leadership and regular participation in reviewing and assessing strategies and performance has been pivotal in allowing the Company to successfully navigate the economically turbulent decade.

Teng’s investment management experience spans more than 20 years, and his key area of expertise is in managing absolute return mandates for insurance assets and investment-linked funds in both Singapore and Malaysia. Prior to his current appointments, he was the Assistant General Manager (Investment) of Overseas Assurance Corporation (OAC) and was responsible for the investment function of the Group Overseas Assurance Corporation Ltd.​

​Teng began his career in the financial industry as an Investment Manager with NTUC Income, Singapore. He is a Bachelor of Science graduate from the National University of Singapore and has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Studies from City University in London.
