      Responsibilities
      To ensure KYC processes meet the requirements of anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism financing laws, rules, codes, guidelines and statements of best practices imposed by Regulators and/or arising from internal policies.

      • Reviewing and validate account opening documentation to ensure completeness, handling regular client KYC review and ad hoc queries from Sales team.
      • Providing Sales team advice on compliance matters, specifically on KYC, client onboarding and all AML related matters.
      • Ensure that client onboarding and KYC records incorporate regulatory requirements and comply with internal policies.
      • Assist in training and educating staff members on AML/CFT matters, where required.
      • Perform any other related duties that Management may require from time.

      Requirements
      • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Law, Business, Economic, Finance or related discipline.
      • At least 3 years of working experience in banking or financial institution with specialization in AML/CFT roles.

    • Executive, Fund Operations

      Responsibilities
      • Administer and ensure the daily investment operation including portfolio mandates runs smoothly.
      • Capture, process and keep safe information pertaining to clients' transactions into an electronic system of data storage.
      • Generate relevant reports and documents pertaining to the operations and send or file such report and documents in an orderly manner.
      • Monitor the database system functionality and stability; ensure data is properly backup on regular basis and keep them safe and secure.
      • Prepare reports for submission to management, clients, Security Commission and others.
      • Generate and dispatch trade settlement statement to clients and custodians within the stipulated time frame.
      • Ensure income collection and corporate actions are performing timely and accurately.
      • Perform the reconciliation of daily cash/holding report.

      Responsibilities
      • Assist in the processing of sales, redemption, switching, transfer request & other records maintenance via system.
      • Assist in the sale transaction reconciliation via system. 
      • Assist in putting business transactions like investment, redemption, switching, transfer and other information into databases.
      • Ensure accurate data entry and make the necessary corrections, if necessary. 
      • File, archive and retrieve documents (paper-based and electronic) following the company’s filing standards.
      • Work as part of the team and follow established policies, procedures and methods.
      • Assist in Investor Operations administrative task.

      Requirements
      • Min. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, finance/accounting, or related fields.
      • Minimum two years related experience preferred.

    • Full Stack Developer

      Responsibilities
      • Responsible for the product development from ideation to deployment and execute new features of products;
      • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions;
      • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design;
      • Write effective APIs;
      • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency;
      • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design and;
      •  Share existing and acquired skills with team members through formal and informal mentoring.

      Requirements
      • Equivalent to either a bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or an approved related field;
      • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, jQuery);

      Responsibilities
      • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain internal and external secure REST based APIs using standard integration and API patterns in continuous integration/delivery environments;
      • Work closely with internal application team to provide the needed APIs for web applications and mobile applications;
      • Work in a dynamic, changing environment using continuous integration and a dev-ops model to rapidly develop, test, and deploy code into production;

      Requirements

Managing Director
Teng Chee Wai is the founder of Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad (Affin Hwang AM). Over the past decade, he has built the Company to be the fastest growing and only independent investment management house in Malaysia’s top three, with an excess of RM47 billion in assets under management as at 31 December 2018.​

​In his capacity as Managing Director / Executive Director, Teng manages the overall business and strategic direction as well as the management of the investment team. His hands-on approach sees him actively involved in investments, product development and marketing. Teng’s critical leadership and regular participation in reviewing and assessing strategies and performance has been pivotal in allowing the Company to successfully navigate the economically turbulent decade.

Teng’s investment management experience spans more than 20 years, and his key area of expertise is in managing absolute return mandates for insurance assets and investment-linked funds in both Singapore and Malaysia. Prior to his current appointments, he was the Assistant General Manager (Investment) of Overseas Assurance Corporation (OAC) and was responsible for the investment function of the Group Overseas Assurance Corporation Ltd.​

​Teng began his career in the financial industry as an Investment Manager with NTUC Income, Singapore. He is a Bachelor of Science graduate from the National University of Singapore and has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Studies from City University in London.
